Is this the same Joe Hockey that some 2 years previous stated openly in a speech that he believed the greater Sydcey area should be increased in size to support a population of some 8 million people in the next 10 years??

As a tourism minister he should be doing everything he can to promote tourism - and if that means allowing a majority share of QF to go offshore to allow greater expansion then so be it.
Regional routes are important also but the govt cant expect an airline to run at a loss on an unprofitable route without assistance.
I guess this is a job for the paid lobbyists in Canberra to sort out and as usual at the end of the day big business will win.
