Long Haul?
I know there are people at BOH who are in a much better position to judge what would/would'nt work in/out of BOH, but I must admit I do think that selective long haul slots to the right destination might just have a chance from this area.
The terminal is up and running & able to expand on past pax numbers, it's just a few months until the arrivals hall is up to the same standard/capacity to handle whatever comes onto the apron. We know that the runway is capable of receiving most a/c in most conditions.
If the right destinations became available with a frequency that was sensible surely enough people in the south/west regions would relish the thought of not heading towards London for a long distance getaway.
Palmair trips to NY are alway's full, cruise links have alway's worked so why not even short breaks to East coast USA, Dubai, J'berg etc, even if only once/twice a week on rotation?
It would be nice to see a small selection of these destinations even if just on a trial basis.
