"This Day" had a full page advert pronouncing some huge amount of money was being taken out of Naija by those non-Nigerian airlines... so fly the patriotic airline, Arik ! You won't see many non-flattering articles in This Day about Arik. They hand Arik an award every year for being the most awesomeness airline in the world.
The advert stuck me as grasping at straws.
By the way, Air Nigeria is planning B737NG's to go to London. I think they could really kill Arik on that route with the reputation Arik has earned of Late, Later, Cancelled, Filthy, and Hungry.
On the salary front, some people have gotten paid. I don't know yet if this will be the standard scam of pay just enough to keep some people working, and then pay the rest in a week or three.
