I think the only thing I can say would be to remember this, and all the other lessons about aborts and saying knock it off. If your flight is going to rat **** - make it safe. No shame in coming back to the sqn with a "that was close - I got into trouble but......"
plan your flight, fly safe and if it comes to it - eject in time!
