There are rumours today that Thomson are to look at cutting back at DSA and launching flights from Leeds.
How many times has this been rumoured since they pulled out of LBA?????
At LBA, though they would potentially be serving different markets from the locos they have competition from LS, FR... Then there's TCX and now Jet2 holidays has become very big especially in the LBA catchment add this among other carriers...
At the end of the day TOM could base at both airports quite happily if they wanted to, but with little or no competition at DSA and from what I know of a very comfortable operation in terms of passenger figures, income, ground handling and contract they have at DSA why would they want to ???
