Kavs8, Shannon having less transatlantic services makes things better for Cork how exactly? Considering Cork has no transatlantic services the Shannon pax cant exactly flock there as an alternative
It might boost Cork to Heathrow and Amsterdam (and also perhaps Dublin) a little as people connect to the States. The majority of Cork originating passengers bound for the states fly via either Heathrow or Dublin anyway (if you're flying anywhere besides New York or Boston it makes little sense to trek all the way to Shannon just to have to connect in the States when you can fly from Cork and connect to a direct flight at Heathrow or Dublin) but the closure of the Shannon routes might boost this a bit.
