Bearing in mind that Mexicana is one of the oldest airlines and that roughly 8000 people are (in)directly employed, I find it hard to believe that the government is allowing one of their flag carrier to die that quickly.
Suspending operations does not (yet) mean liquidation. Remember, Spirit had stopped flying, too. Maybe not an appropriate comparison, but one can be hopeful ...
