My paranoia is when things get installed on my computer without my say so
This a difference between things getting installed without ones say so and things getting installed because one skips quickly through the installation options
(usually its a tickbox, turned on by default, saying 'would you also like to install blahblahblah?'. One has to un-tick it to opt out.
I would re-iterate others recommendation of Chrome though- It's a good browser.
