Why combine LHR director frequencies?
There seems to be an increasing practice of combining LAM and BNN arrivals on 119.72, with 2 controllers on the same frequency, 1 controlling BNN, the other LAM. I understand that you are under staffed, but this doubles the congestion on the frequency, for no apparant gain as there are still two controllers on the frequency.
Just wondering what the reasoning behind it is - I'm sure there must be a good reason!
