Good Morning Genlemen,
Well, I might as well rule one of those manufacturers out or in. I think the engine is a Blackburne Tomtit, and on that basis all I've found so far that are not ruled out by the clues given is the possibility of the Akaflieg Darmstadt D-13 Mohammed II. I cannot find any drawings and the only picture so far shows the centre fuselage under construction, it does have the fairing behind the pilot's head, but that's about all. Not much time to search today, so your answers may help someone else to find it.
Edited to say I also found the Wheeler Slymph, made in Iraq, but no details found. Back to work now.
