You cannot claim for computers unless you can prove that you need one at home;

Airline pilots: industry wide FRE for 2006/07 onwards: personal computers

Also;

EIM36500 - Deductions from earnings: capital allowances: introduction: arrangement of guidance

You can, of course, not claim the FRE and claim for each item of expenditure (verified) instead.
