Ryanair At Luton Etc

Hi Buster
You are absolutely right, Ryanair I understand would base more aircraft at Luton but the airport - quite rightly in my humble opinion - say you must pay the going rate. I have it on good authority that Ryanair passengers spend the least at Luton and probably most other airports so not much chance of making up the lost revenue of landing fees, etc.
Glad to see Monarch upping there winter schedules from Luton with Alicante returning for the winter especially as easy do not seem to be operating there from Luton this winter, also Gibraltar up to six times weekly. I have used the Gib service a number of times and it seems to me it is well patronised with passenger numbers well up on last year.
Just returned from a trip to the old country - by car - very enjoyable (the car journey that is) - had a lovely meal at Limoges airport on a terrace overlooking the ramp - and yes there was aircraft movements - but for those moaning about security etc. at UK airports took the ferry from Portsmouth to Cherbourg (a rip off I might add) the security was incredible - open the car bonnet etc. so please do not think that airport security takes the brunt in the UK. By the way drove straight on the ferry at Calais after UK passport check - what a difference!
