Are you American or Canadian? Do you have eligibility to live and work in a foreign country? Are you willing to go to the Middle East or Asia? There are a lot of experienced, typed pilots out there looking for work now.

You cannot "buy" your way on to a B737 or larger airliner--only one way, wait for the major airlines to start hiring (depends on the carrier and the economy), have the right credentials, get an interview and be offered a job. Only Southwest (perhaps WestJet) requires a type and SW doesn't require time on type. DL is hiring right now, but I'll be they can be pretty picky.
