In my opinion, you do not want an expemption...you need a Halon extinguisher.
Better safe than sorry.
A fire extinguisher...the
first item on the shopping list for a pilot with a (new to them) airplane, make NO mistake.
I have personally seen the results for a pilot where a fire extinguisher was not readily available...and the sight was not a pretty one.
