Are we referring to Jet Provosts or real ones? My second ever flight as an ATC cadet was in a Piston Provost at Little Rissngton; I never wanted to fly in a Chipmunk after that.
I remember when No 1 SoTT at Halton was closing down in the '90s, the JPs were all disposed of and people were coming in for weeks to dismantle them and truck them away, must've been about 20 of them. Wonder how many actually flew again.
