To close the subject:
DLH has not employed DE CP/Cdrs since ca. 1991 for German Cargo Services - now Lufthansa Cargo (and Suedflug - now Condor - soon Thomas Cook).
Commanders at Lufthansa Cargo will be folks trained from Effo´s from the Lufthansa seniority list from the companies Lufthansa, Lufthansa Cargo, Condor or CondorBerlin.
They´ve just sold their stake in DHL (to Deutsche Post) to get cash and avoid cartell-problems, but are planning on using them for much short/medium haul work - LCAG (as a part of "WOW") will do long haul work, with their aircraft.
The rumours is nothing more than... a rumour - trust me.
