bobwi. I stand firmly with the (airbus) trash in - trash out brigade. My simple wink is that AB can actually tell you to go around. Indeed, if followed, this shall be correctly reported to ATC as a windshear alert. Even if one needs to describe the event later to more knowledgable people (a.k.a. the chief pilot), the words "the machine decided to go-around" are not semantically correct. Just as you say.
