Some bad questions...

1. Horizontally Polarized radio waves are
a) Electrical field travels in horizontal plane
b) Magnetic field travels in vertical plane
c) Electric field travels in vertical plane
d) Magnetic field travels in horizontal plane

For people who are aware of little bit of science they know that, in EM radiations E and M fields are perpendicular to each other and vary in a plane transverse to the direction of propagation, hence a) and b) are same, and so are c) and d), this question is going to have two correct answers, and each one is as correct as other. This question displays that question setter is a nincompoop.

2. Earth is heated by
a) A. Insulation (sic)
b) some bs option
c) another bs option
d) none of the above

Those who know what is Insolation and Insulation, knows that its an ill-made question,

3. If an aircraft descends to a higher altitude at constant IAS
a) M increases
b) M decreases
c) .....
d) .....

Obviously there is a mistake, but which one is mistake, 'descends' or 'higher'

4. Speed of sound at sea level ISA is
a) 660.7 Knots
b) 661.7 Knots
c) 662.7 Knots
d) 663.7 Knots

What the hell are they trying to evaluate...

5. Atmosphere is instable when ELR is
a) > DALR
b) = DALR
c) < DALR
d) none of above (not sure)

In order to determine Instability absolutely one needs to know ELR in relation to SALR, this is not the best way to ask this question.

More as I remember.... had I not been subjected to all those paper folding I would have retained more of their mistakes, especially from the Technical paper...

One more

6. Flight spoiler
a) some bull **** option
b) some bull **** option
c) some bull **** option
d) increase lift on up-going wing

That was the closest thing which could be called 'correct', and any decent pilot will know how incorrect this is...

6. Flight spoiler
a) some bull **** option
b) some bull **** option
c) some bull **** option
d) increase lift on up-going wing

6. Aircraft generator are rated as
a) ....
b) KVA
c) KW
d) none of the above

How do KVA and KW differ?

That was the closest thing which could be called 'correct', and any decent pilot will know how incorrect this is..

there was another one on flight spoiler... any one remebers?
and there was one question about trim tab where word 'ahead' was used while defining some position 'trim tab', 'ahead' is an ambiguous term to use.. while Cockpit is ahead of wings, for the wind wings are ahead of the cockpit. Smart teachers use words like fore and aft, instead of ahead and behind.
