Aer Arann remains committed to Cork Airport and just three weeks ago announced additional Aer Lingus Regional flights, operated by Aer Arann, from Cork to Manchester and Birmingham. This development will mean that the airline will base a second 72-seat ATR-72 aircraft in Cork from the start of the winter schedule at the end of October.

It appears as if they were just sending the oldest of their fleet back to the Leasor, to be replaced with a new 72. No conspiracy there me thinks
