Point taken Jamie but it's the airline that allocates aircraft to bases and routes. They then come across all apologetic as if a route closure is due to circumstances beyond their control. It's seems to be standard practice in the industry. Of course others such as Ryanair tend to blame airport charges and tourist taxes when ever a route isn't working.
