The A340-211 has been sold to Col. Muammar Al-Ghaddafi of Libya, the aircraft sold for a very good price.
The first year of operation of the first freighter A/C will determine if additional freighters are justified and these would most likely be used purchased aircraft (possibly ex-KAL) for commonality.
It would make sense to purchase second hand aircraft since the aquisition costs are lower. I have a question for you Riscy, does QR have plans to wetlease freighters such as Emirates are doing?
