lfc84 well look at it this way - all the overworked and stressed air traffic people, our friends the loaders, the firemen, the electrical guys who look after the airfield and the ones that do the wiggly amp things to the air traffic stuff and the weather men, the odd- job men around the airport, the miserable lot up in the offices who do the admin, the airport polizei, the cleaners and of the course 'the management' which seems to have multiplied over the last few years. Its a government facility and they up Douglas just love it to bits. Do the math on the number of those on the government wagebill - I reckon around 100 but I'm sure someone could come up with the exact number.

Or look at in reverse which is probably easier for the likes of me, the only non governemnt people there are the good folks at Flight support, cafeteria staff and the fuellers (now there's a job I wouldn't mind)

airportman fella - I wish. Must be the only 'job for life' left in the western hemisphere - for now.
