This architecture eliminates the risk of engine oil decomposition products from being introduced in the cabin supply air in the rare event of a failed engine compressor seal. In addition, this architecture improves fuel efficiency, thus reducing fuel burn and associated engine emissions.”

The fuel burn reduction due to this alone is minimal.

All pressurisation is from electrically driven compressors, hence the requirement fo very high output AC generators. Add to that the fact that anti-icing must be electrical, further adding to the generators load.

Wot drives the big generators?

You cannot get something for nothing - go ponder.....
