Backpacker, did you realise the request was for a place IN THE UK?
Come on, you can get to Texel from anywhere in the UK in less than three hours - although I admit some routes would require an uncomfortably long overwater crossing. If you have a pilots license and a plane, why limit yourself to the UK?
