Blackbushe Airport
23 June 2010
Bulletin No. 200
All Pilots / Operators
(GROUP OPERATORS PLEASE ENSURE ALL GROUP MEMBERS ARE MADE AWARE OF THIS BULLETIN)

FARNBOROUGH AIRSHOW ARRANGEMENTS 2010
This years show is from 19 - 25 July with the practice week being from 12 - 18 July. We will be subject to certain restrictions during the two weeks including departure day on 26 July.
NO SOLO Navigation flights will be permitted during the (RA) Temporary. This is the same airspace when there are Royal Flights in and out of Farnborough.
All circuit training during the flying displays will be curtailed. This may also be restricted at other times, i.e. during busy periods of arrivals into and out of Blackbushe. During the Red Arrows validation and displays the ATZ will be closed to all traffic.
All movements must be booked out by telephone and NOT by RT. In the interest of flight safety, if the tower staff are busy or there is no reply please leave a voicemail or get your operations department to book you out/in.
If a voicemail is left, please state this when calling on the radio. Failure to do so may lead to your movements being delayed.
Customs/Special Branch movements may be met during these periods so, if you intend to travel abroad we would appreciate GARS/Flight plans be handed in, faxed or emailed in plenty of time to allow them to be processed.
Full Airspace details are published in AIC:M033/2010 Dated 17 June 2010.
PRACTICE WEEK 12 - 18 July 2010
Temporary restricted airspace will be applied over the two week period. This will also cover the weekend of July 17th and 18th.
Provided that all practice flying is completed, the restrictions over the weekend may be cancelled.
Circuit traffic will be permitted in the mornings provided it is kept tight and not above 800’ QFE OR 1200’ QFE for twin/business aircraft. This height will also apply for deadside joins.
TRA from Farnborough will be established as follows (AREA1) Surface to base of controlled airspace.
AREA 1(TRA) Established from Farnborough 12NM Radius - Active as follows:
JULY 12-16 0800 - 1800Z

JULY 20-22 1315 - 1600Z
JULY 23 1230 - 1615Z
JULY 24-25 1130 - 1645Z
There will be no air activity permitted at Blackbushe while the Red Arrows TRA is in force. At all other times during the practice week (12-18 July) we are informed there may be further restrictions imposed on Blackbushe. These will be issued via NOTAM as and when required. Standard regulations applicable to flying in a TRA will continue to apply and operators are reminded that Farnborough ATZ is in force H24.
During the A380 display/validation we will be closed for around twenty minutes.

Circuit flying/training will be curtailed after lunch when the flying displays are taking place and possibly in the mornings (depending on traffic). All other movements must call Farnborough Radar on 125.250 and be at a maximum altitude of 1500’ QNH until two way contact with Farnborough has been established. Rejoins should be made at normal circuit height from the deadside, unless co-ordinated with Farnborough. Aircraft should keep their downwind and base legs as tight as possible.
Departures will only be allowed to the west or north initially until given approval from Farnborough. Overhead departures will not be permitted i.e. expect south coast flights to go out via Basingstoke. Example for inbounds please make sure you call Farnborough radar in plenty of time BEFORE entering their TRA(T) and expect to join from the north/northwest for Deadside joins.
IFR departures during the two weeks must be in possession of ‘after departure’ instructions from Farnborough and requested by Blackbushe ATSU during operational hours.
