2 engine damage can be suspected if you hear abnormal noises, flt attndt can be used to check for any visual oil splashes, visual inspection from your station, etc
3. If you are below the SE ceiling and happy to maintain --then no prob. You will get better speeds the lower you are. if it helps use these speeds. so obviously if happy at 3000, then you can safely call out below the SE ceiling, if you feel opening the perf to chk your ceiling is not worth it !
4. for a balanced flight aerodynamically you will req wee bit aileron.
