Dest and Groundloop
Just for the record I have probably attended 6 or 7 RIATS at Fairford in the last 12 years and a few more before that, with my wife and kids. Even did a Cottesmore trip travelling back from Bruggen. I have also worked there (and numerous other air shows and charity events) looking after “our” aircraft, running stalls and helping to set up and clean up.
After 30 years serving in the Royal Air Force, if you begrudge me the opportunity to sit outside my hard saved for Motorhome and watch aircraft (a couple of types of which I have worked on in some very dodgy places) thinking that I am a freeloader or not prepared to donate to such a worthy charity, then I am very, very sorry.
