No annual increment since 2008, no profit share and loss of MVC for over a year is really hurting. And as for child education allowance and medical benefits, just make sure you read the fine print very carefully. They will not cover what you might reasonably expect. Schools and medical care are very expensive. So is private health insurance for a family with children.
