clarification of JAA visual standards

Straing from the CAA website...

"Your visual acuity (your ability to see, in this case lines of letters on a chart at 6 metres) must be at least 6/9 in each eye separately and 6/6 using both eyes together, with or without glasses or contact lenses (correction). "

So this is saying that as long as my vision with contacts or glasses is 6/6 (together) and 6/9 (single), I am good to go...right?

The FAA checks your vision without glasses and contacts as well as with. I assume I don't have to have any particular standards met withOUT my contacts?

Thanks,

-Jason
