New airline to take flight

A NEW regional airline has arisen from the ashes of Flight West, which collapsed last year.Alliance Airlines, which will be based in Brisbane and Townsville, has taken on 120 former Flight West workers, with another 20 to join soon.Queensland Premier Peter Beattie announced the new company's plans to state parliament today.He said the airline would operate from Brisbane to Gladstone, Rockhampton, Townsville and Norfolk Island, and from Sydney to Norfolk Island.
