Just out of curiosity for all you guys buying your type ratings.
If the airline you guys were aiming for starts asking for 100 hours in type would you consider paying for it?
If the same airline asks you to work for 6 months without pay , would you still sign up?
What if the airline offers you a job making 1000 USD a month and 4 days off with recurrent training on days off and then if you are eligible for upgrade to pay for your captain training, would you still sign up?
I am just curious as to how far one would go to get an airline job these days.
Also, remember that this is a very slippery slope. Once you guys start paying and buying types, it wont be long before the above mentioned things come true.
