The A343 and A333 have the same length (63.60m) and with (5.28m)... why does the '330 carry more pax?
A very simplistic view: the A340 was designed for longer routes, hence more of its payload is dedicated to carrying fuel. This is opposed to the A330 that is meant for shorter routes, so the A330 has the capacity for more passengers or freight.
