Deep Gloom amongst Compass pilots. Compass was started, in 2006, as a compromise between ALPA and Northwest...it provided for a flow-down to Compass of NWA pilots in case of a furlough, and a flow-up in case NWA started to hire (20 per month as per the agreement). These flow-up rights moved to Delta with the NWA/DELTA merger. For the last 5 weeks Compass pilots have been anticipating getting those precious Delta numbers, having survived 3 years sweating a flow-down. Delta announced major hiring starting in August. This deal abrogates the agreement; only a few, or none, of Compass pilots will now flow up to Delta. Typical machination of Managements to have everything their own way. Sam
