agree with all of the above. i read the article today and reallly struggled to understand what they were talking about. i am all for writers speaking in "plain english" in mainstream newspapers as 99% of people out there don't understand aviation jargon. but this kind of crap is just pure irresponsible. dunno what to do about it though other than to see if the scmp can get a retired pilot to write the occasional article... a bit like what jake does in finance...
