As Otto says. (I wouldn't call size 12-14 chubby by the way!) Flybe take the rather grown-up view that attitude is more important than dress size. Someone who is enthusiastic, conscientious and has good customer service skills will always do well.

Off the top of my head, there are at least 5 CPL/IRs working as cabin crew in my base alone. One is a Flybe mentored cadet waiting his turn for a type rating course, but the others all applied and got the job with no previous connection to the company. And yes, they were up front about their licence in the interview. In the current market, it's one of the best ways into the industry – you'll be working with pilots day in day out, be among the first to hear about future recruitment, and gain valuable airline experience for your CV. (Oh yes, and you can do the walk round for us when it rains).

Best of luck to you both.
