We are going around the usual circles guys. It would seem that the issue must be black or white. In the majority of cases the flight deck would initiate an evacuation but they are at the end that impacts first and may not respond to 'phone calls'. It cannot be beyond the wit of even 411A to see that there will be circumstances when the cabin crew should initiate an evacuation, they may occasionaly get it wrong but who doesn't.
