May Passenger Figures
Having a quick scan through the CAA statistics for the month of May, I think things could have been considerably worse - the domestics seem to have suffered quite a bit obviously due to the ash problems etc. but the East European routes seem to have stood up quite well. I see that more people flew between Luton and Budapest and Luton and Bucharest than any other UK airport - I really must get out more!
It will be interesting to see how the easy spat affects passengers later in the year and I think winter 2010-11 is going to be very difficult for all UK airports especially the so-called regional ones.
