The new radar, much needed if you ask me, will be ready by the end of the year but that depends on the approvals from the CAA according to a bloke in the pub who knew a bit about the program. Mode S too, obviously.
The way I see it is that Bournemouth numbers will start to rise, maybe as early as next year, granted they need to get the right routes and the right airlines but it WILL pick up. And after the BBC South today's scathing program the other day at the launch of the new terminal I hope it get the target 3million by 2015.
And another point is that Bournemouth doesn't just make money from passengers flying out...it gets income from more diverse ways .
