I think the difference between this scheme and first or second GA jobs is that this is it in Australia. Jetstar IS the end of the rainbow for most people - unless you want to move overseas, which is also becoming less attractive by the day. What Major Airline are people going to move to once they realise the true value of their skills and ongoing sacrifices? Qantas don’t look like hiring so that is not a realistic option.
I agree with your sentiments regarding GA, but you have to draw the line somewhere.
Once again, I have nothing against anyone who applies. I can just see the long term implications of this particular scheme in Australia.
