Such a failure may or may not raise an ECAM message. Tyropicard says what happens if you lose both channels, assuming a fail-stop scenario. With a fail-live scenario it could be different.
well now that you have introduced the term fail-stop scenario and fail-live scenario could you tell us the difference relative to what gets displayed on the screen to the pilot? because that's all he knows regardless of what you call it.
