There is a pool of DEFOs.
That "Pool" has been there since 2008 and has not been "fished". It has however decreased significantly in size. Most of the people I have talked to have been hired by other companies like ANA/Emirates or even moved on to non-flying jobs, and have no intention of taking the offer if CX calls.
Left are the hopeful fools like myself who are still dreaming of working for CX
