NB I've mentored many young career aviators and those who are realistic do not get this attitude.
Any of the young guys that have come to me for advice have never been steered wrong. They all have jobs (talking within the last 12 months) The only piece of advice I never gave was to find a better career path.
How shameful that this industry has reduced itself to be a "johnny on the spot"
How long have you been in aviation? Its always been like this, except once there was a goal to progress out of it.

You're born, you take sh!t. You get out in the world, you take more sh!t. You climb a little higher, you take less sh!t. Till one day you're up in the rarefied atmosphere and you've forgotten what sh!t even looks like.
Now there are no chances of climbing out of the sh!t. Even stacking shelves at coles leads to becoming a coles manager and they earn more than 95% of pilots.
