Thames Radar question....

Can anyone from Thames Radar explain why traffic arriving at LCY in busy periods always have to do 190kts and get extended vectoring?

190kts is often close to RJ 100s min clean speed and often slower than the Embraer 170/190 min clean speed. If the aircraft has thirty plus track miles to go in icing conditions staying clean is prefered.

To keep seperation why don't all arriving aircraft fly at the fastest planes min clean speed rather than the other way round?

Would it not also make more sense to put aircraft in a hold for LCY and provide an EAT. This would give radar less work and make fuel planning easier.

Thames also seem to prefer standard speeds on departsure. Is there no advantage at quiet times to clearing the sector of airspace more quickly by flying faster?

Finally, on all SIDs other than the BPK when on runway 09 what's with the left turn at one mile? Noise? Any chance of turning right direct DET?
