Talking about the Emirates package, I would appreciate it if someone in the sand could tell me what are the best things to bring out from home on joining. I understand that the houses are fully furnished, but if you have nice furniture, clocks etc at home, do you find that most people get them shipped out, or is it all best left at home. What about the computer? Better to bring it over or is it cheap in DXB to buy a new one? How long does it take to get online and how long to get your driving license and a car to get mobile.
A million questions I know, but it would help all the newbies over the next couple of years if someone could start a topic with useful info like this.
