What will it cost me to get ATPL and first job?
Hi I’m looking into numerous avenues to get into training.
First of all an integrated ATPL is going to cost around £70K with OAA!!!
And after that I have seen airlines require type rating qualifications.
Ryan air are quoting £27k for 737/800 ratings!!
So I could be looking at £100k!!!!!
I want to learn to fly not die in debt.
In comparison.
First Great Western are recruiting train drivers in my area. And they estimate the cost to train a new employee is around £50k per person.
Their structure is modular based and you have to remain with them for a minimum agreed period. Or else you have to pay back some of the training cost.
This is reasonable and something that I could live with.
But to be £100k in debt before I’ve even landed my first job is
