I don't think it really matters about your experience level so long as you meet the published minimums that they set out. What they will be looking for are people that are happy to earn next to nothing for the foreseeable future, live in cheap digs, work weekends with very little leave, have a valid driving licence (to position crews and run errands) etc etc. Generally a dogs body. If your CV or covering letter (if they asked for one) doesn't portray those attributes then why would they call you forward for interview?
