Probably best to avoid completely if you are unsure by using you a mixture of WX radar to identify the areas of heavy precipitation return and by advising ATC of upwind track corrections to avoid.

If you do have to fly between them and its unavoidable put the seatbelts sign on, advise cabin crew and maybe make a PA to pax as an extra precaution.
