My friend has been in touch and thought that our Nigeria mates would like the Bristow Libya pay cut explained to them before they sign up. It is quite logical really so here goes:
Apparently the local allowance in Nigeria is around $12,000 p.a. to compensate for some of the local 'difficulties'. You know, sometimes the golf course is waterlogged, beer occasionally warm, women can be too demanding, that sort of thing.
Whereas in Libya those 'difficulties' do not exist. The chaps therefore don't need money for golf fees, beer and women so obviously a pay cut is in order. How about 50%?
The coffee is very cheap though apparently.
