SS - your idea has merit for me. However, I as once told that all 'unfixed' snags eg 'ground tested and found 's' - please report further' were supposed to be transferred onto the new pages at each base turn. It never happened, and often I would sit with pages of illegible log sheet copies trying to decipher what the snag was yesterday that could not be traced. Your 'grey' system would make that so much easier. I just cannot see JT's concerns - if correct maintenance actions had been completed and no fault found, why would he be in the 'firing line'? No-one is 'carrying' an unfixed defect.
