The low cost model has only a limited life span before rising oil prices and a raft of proposed taxes and environmental laws, all designed to keep the riff raff out of the sky make the business model obsolete.
Probably true but not going to happen in the next few years so I don't think it is a problem for people who are just finishing training now. There's still time to go to a low-cost airline and get some hours and then if what you say happens they will stand a better chance of gaining of gaining employment with a large carrier. Also, who knows what will happen in that time, perhaps the system will become fairer and people will get more equal opportunities, or perhaps not.
